Hi Rabbi. I hope you are well.

In this episode, I conclude that one of the callers asked about Exodus 34 where God reveals his attributes, Hashem Hashem, Mighty, Compassionate and Generous, Slow to Anger and Abundant in Kindness …. There is a part in there that says venaqqeh velo-yenaqqeh, which is translated in many ways like “and that will by no means clear the guilty” (JPS) or “yet he doesn’t remit all punishment” (NJPS) or “yet he doesn’t completely clear [of sin]” (Chabad.org’s translation which includes rashi’s commentary). You spent a good amount of time discussing the part that says “visiting the iniquities upon so and so generations” but not the part that the caller brought up. Can you bring it up or explain it some time please?

    All the best to you.
